Privacy Statement
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Any personally identifiable information you submit directly to the NPAction website-- such as your name, address, telephone number, etc,-- will be held with the utmost care, and will only be used in ways consistent with the stated mission, purpose, goals, and objectives. Users or subscribers will receive no cookies, unless their browser is set to receive them. NPAction will knowingly install no files or applications on the machines of users and visitors.
Any and all personally identifiable information collected by NPAction will neither be sold or rented, or otherwise disclosed for commercial purposes or activities not consistent with the mission of this organization except pursuant to judicial order. NPAction, either individually or through its parent organization OMB Watch, knowingly allows other organizations, services, or persons to track individual visitors to our Web site.
NPAction captures limited information about site traffic, but not individual persons visiting the site. We use this information only to analyze general patterns (e.g. what pages are most/least popular) and to perform routine system maintenance. From time to time we may choose response mechanisms that support optional or voluntary registration information (such as a guestbook or message board), the contents of which may or may not be publicly visible. If you choose to provide personally identifiable information at any point on the NPAction site, we will only use the information for purposes consistent with the stated mission, purpose, goals, or objectives.
NPAction, either individually or through its parent organization, OMB Watch, maintains email listings of registered users to provide updates on site content and features. Individuals may always choose whether they want to be on a list or not. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose the addresses on our lists without prior notification for purposes inconsistent with our stated mission, purpose, goals, and objectives. List and mail server software is configured to refuse the divulging of e-mail addresses of registered users and updates to anyone but authorized staff and list administrators, to refuse relays, and to block spammers from our lists. Subscribers, registered users, and site visitors are responsible for any personal information shared among them. We do not intentionally permit user access privileges to mass mailers or re-mailers through any NPAction user interfaces.
