ElectionProtection.org was created by Working Assets to support the work of People For the American Way Foundation and the nonpartisan 2004 Election Protection coalition, including Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation and NAACP National Voter Fund. This volunteer drive is completely nonpartisan. ElectionProtection.org and its affiliates and volunteers are working to protect all voters' rights, regardless of party affiliation. With the indispensable assistance of private law firms, the Voting Rights Project litigates voting rights cases, monitors U.S. Justice Department enforcement efforts, and enforces the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 through legal representation, advocacy and public education.
