*Showcase Groups: Using Blogs for Advocacy
The emergence of the blog - a website (or a portion of a website) that contains short, frequent posts and Web links - as a widespread communications tool has propelled many nonprofits to develop blogs as inexpensive and effective way to increase advocacy. Blogs provide frequent updates to users, reach out to a broader audience and give readers a chance to participate in online conversations. In this issue's featured article several nonprofits discuss the evolution of their blogs as advocacy tools.
